What if…

Today was the day after Jesus had been nailed to the cross and had been put in a tomb?

What if yesterday, we really watched as the soldiers beat Him and spit on Him?

What if we watched as our Lord and Savior took the beating, mockery, and pain for OUR SINS?!

What if we were REALLY there?

But we weren’t…does it change the importance of what Palm Sunday, Good Friday, & Resurrection Sunday?

But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:5, 6 NIV)
